Most people love a good day at the beach, the sun, the surf the wonderful smell in the air of the sea, but everyone hates to see waves in their carpets. Unfortunately many carpets loosen up naturally over time. Other times carpets loosen up because they were installed only with a knee kicker.
A knee kicker is a great tool but typically it only stretches carpets a half inch to an inch. Add in the fact that carpet backing is very stiff and often when rugs are installed they are not properly stretched if using only a knee kicker. Whether it is for a new carpet installation or a carpet restretch we always use a power stretcher to ensure your bubbles don't come back.. Recently we did a carpet stretching job in Allentown and the customer was amazed that our mechanic Eric was able to get almost two inches of carpet trimmed after stretching! The consumer asked how that was possible and Eric replied, "You should have seen this carpet stretching job I did in Center Valley awhile back! I got a full three inches on the trim since it was a thick carpet." One of the other nice things about Eric is that he comes to stretching jobs with a truck mount carpet cleaning truck so you can have your rugs stretched and cleaned the same day - something most companies don't offer. We also can fix most other problems with carpets and can patch holes or stains as well. We are here to help solve all your carpet and flooring problems.

Thanks for explaining that the knee-kicker method only works to stretch carpets about a half-inch. The carpet in the upstairs hallway of my home has developed a few ripples and needs to be stretched out by a repair service. I'm glad I read your article so I can find a service that offers other methods in addition to the knee-kicker!

Carpet installation is a important thing when we move our home. We need to install it in proper way. Sometimes it looks odd for folding. I think stretching is also important regarding the folding issue. I have read your article & this is informative to me. Thanks for share this article.
